Organi/Origani Cleanser and Toner for Vegans

Since I became a vegan, I have undergone a complete lifestyle overhaul not just with my diet but with everything that I consume including skincare products. Upon researching, I was so heartbroken to know that the brands that I used to love do animal testing. I started using a lot of homemade products from friends. Unfortunately, I found out that organic and homemade don’t always mean good. The products should be tested from microbial or metal contamination, pH level, and all those things I don’t understand. Then I came across a lot of positive Organi product reviews online.

Honestly, the price threw me off. I thought it was ridiculous. But then again, one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to invest more on my health, and that includes my skin. I am a no-frills person. I rarely wear make-up, and I am not picky when it comes to skincare. My mantra was always, “the easier (and cheaper), the better.” But then, I noticed that my face started breaking out, and it became extra sensitive. I went to the dermatologist, who prescribed a lot of soaps, cleansers, creams, toners that made my face burn. So after a month, I stopped, and that was when I was pulled into an Organi kiosk at the mall. After the demo, I was seduced into buying everything, but of course, I couldn’t afford it. I had to choose one (at least at that time), and I had to be practical. I wanted to get the honey peel, but I thought I should get a product that I would be using on a daily basis. The cleanser and toner in one appealed to me very much, and it’s become one of my favorite purchases as of late. Here’s why!

It is convenient. Like what I said, I am a no-frills person, and I don’t like putting so much on my face, so the 2 in 1 product sold me.

It is mild. My skin has become thinner since I consulted with a dermatologist, so I knew I wanted something mild. This claims to be very mild that one can use it even thrice a day without aggravating the skin. True enough, it feels very mild on the skin. It does not give a stinging sensation like other toners or astringents (I hate that!). But despite its mildness and gentleness, my skin feels very clean and smooth after very use.

It has a beautiful packaging. I’m a sucker for brands that present themselves well. This one comes in a very nice transparent bottle. It has a very mild honey scent and the texture is not sticky.

It complements my lifestyle. I have very busy days, so this 2 in 1 product is a winner. It is also organic with high quality ingredients. Most of all, it does not test on animals!

Obviously, I really, really, really like this product. Pricey yes, but a little does go a long way. I think my only issue with this is that it’s not strong enough to remove a full-on make-up. But then again, I don’t normally wear a lot of make-up, so it shouldn’t be a deal-breaker.

After regularly using this product, I’m way past the first impressions stage. Now, I notice that my pores are smaller and less visible, my blemishes are lighter, my skin does not become dry and dull, and my face always feels clean and refreshed.
