I’m pretty conscious when it comes to the things I put on my body. I realized that while eating healthy is great for my body and skin, I still won’t achieve the flawless look I want if I use the wrong products on the outside. Before, I would choose drugstore cosmetics because I was on a student budget. All the chemicals that had piled onto my skin and the fact that I didn’t know how to properly take care of my skin back then resulted in clogged pores and a bumpy complexion.
Naturally, I wanted to do something to make it better. That’s when I discovered the benefits of using organic and mineral makeup. So, I started looking for brands that offered organic or mineral products and stumbled upon different rave reviews for Origani.

Trying Out Origani’s Mineral Lover Primer and Foundation
According to Origani, their makeup products are made from plant- and mineral-based formulations that are good for the skin.
The Mineral Lover Perfect Base Primer is certified organic and contains avocado oil, jojoba seed oil, and macadamia oil, which all work together to moisturize the skin and control oil production at the same time, making it a great primer.
The product comes in a 30 mL squeeze tube bottle for easy application. A little goes a long way for this primer, because one pinkie nail-sized drop of the product was all it took to cover my entire face. After application, I moved on to the mineral foundation.
I was glad to discover that the Origani Mineral Lover Foundation comes in six shades. There are shades for those with fair skin tones, medium skin tones, darker skin tones, and yellow-based skin tones. I chose the Mineral Lover Foundation in the shade A1, which is perfect for those with light to medium yellow-based skin tone like me.
The packaging is simple and elegant. It comes in a clear container with a black lid. The product itself is in a loose powder form. After dispensing some on the lid, I used my foundation brush and buffed the product onto my skin until I achieved full coverage.
The great thing about this duo is that they work so well together. The primer prepped my skin and made the foundation last longer. The foundation, meanwhile, gave full coverage without it feeling like I was wearing any makeup at all! It felt so light and made my skin look flawless.
