Kedma Salt Scrub: The Luxe Pampering You’ve Always Wanted (At A Price You Can Afford)

If you’ve never indulged in a body scrub before, you’re missing three-quarters of your life. Okay, maybe just a quarter.

Body scrubs are something that every girl should enjoy once in a while, if not make it a part of her regular self-care routine. Why? They’re super satisfying and are very easy and affordable to do. They also have multiple health benefits.

Some people shun spa treatments because, although they make you feel wonderful, they leave a dent in your wallet. Well, this is not the case with a simple salt scrub. You can do it in your own bathroom using a product that suits your budget.

I particularly love my newly discovered Kedma Salt Scrub. It may be pricey, but I know that several visits to a spa will cost me more. Also, when I consider the all-natural goodness it contains—Dead Sea salts, Dunaliella seaweed extract, and natural oils—I know it’s worth every peso. It also has four variants, all of which are tempting: Lemongrass, Vanilla, Peach & Honey, and Kiwi-Mango.

Dead Sea Salts

Kedma Salt Scrub contains Dead Sea salts, which has a long list of health and healing benefits for the skin, thanks to the 21 minerals it contains.

For instance, it has sulfur, which relieves symptoms of psoriasis and eczema; potassium, which promotes efficient cell metabolism; and zinc, which fosters the growth of new cells. It has calcium, which cleanses pores and strengthens cell membranes, and chloride, which helps balance alkalinity levels.

In other words, a jar of Kedma salt scrub is a treasure trove of minerals that nourish the skin and slow down signs of aging.

Dunaliella Seaweed Extract

Kedma Salt Scrub is enriched with an extract from Dunaliella Seaweed, an algae found in the highly saline waters of the Dead Sea. This extract contains photolyase and beta-carotene, making it a powerful antioxidant as well.

The benefits? It slows down aging, speeds up skin regeneration, and fights skin infections. It also protects the skin from damage.

Aromatic Oils

Kedma also added natural oils to the mix to give you a soothing and invigorating scrub experience. Sweet almond, which is rich in Vitamin E, protects from UV rays. Wheat germ oil evens out your complexion and contributes to collagen production. And sunflower oil traps moisture to prevent skin dehydration.

How to Use Salt Sea Scrub

You can use your salt scrub anytime. I like to indulge in a body scrub before taking a bath. I shower or soak my skin in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes before applying the salt. It helps prepare the skin for exfoliation.

I apply the scrub with my hands using a circular motion. It’s best to use gentle pressure to help it work off the dead skin. A reminder to first-timers: don’t get too excited and intense that you end up hurting your skin. If you have problem areas, such as roughness on the elbows, knees, and heels, take extra time exfoliating your dead skin there.

After I’ve exfoliated my entire body, I either rinse off the salt or go ahead and take a complete bath. After you’ve cleansed, you can apply body moisturizer, if that’s something you like to do. I also suggest making the most out of this opportunity to use body oil because it will be absorbed better now that your pores are open.

What to Expect

Body scrub

If you’re a skincare buff, you know the benefits of body scrubs: softer skin that’s lovely to touch, clearer or lighter complexion due to the removal of dry skin, and better circulation that gives you a natural glow.

Since it cleanses the skin of bacteria, it can address skin acne, too. Others say it’s also good for removing cellulite because it improves circulation. (I have yet to see that, though.)

With the Kedma Salt Scrub, you can expect these and other benefits from its healthy ingredients.

Keep It Natural and Luxurious

You can exfoliate your skin in different ways, from sea salt to sugar to artificial exfoliation beads.

It doesn’t have to be expensive because natural body scrubs come in different shapes and prices.

What I love about salt scrubs is that they’re natural and safe for me and the environment. And though I can always make my DIY scrub when I’m on a tight budget, Kedma’s Salt Scrub, with its mineral-rich salts and invigorating aromatic oils, gives me that extra pampering in the comfort of my own bathtub.
